like the new video chat. Very Nice. One problem - it would be so
much better if you could just hit enter and it would send the
message instead of having to reach for your mouse every time or
worse if you only use laptop mouse. Another thing - you cannot read
chat from early you can only send one message at a time, this is
not very good if you want to go back and recap a conversation or if
you forgot something. Any plans to make changes with those
features???????
The decision to not use enter as the "send" key is intentional.
After many trials and errors, we've elected to let the product work
as does the Who-IM, where you can free form type without limit to
adding line breaks, and then hit send with mouse.
Who-IM is intended as a one-way message system, not as a running
message...
We are always open to input from our customers about new (beta)
products like the VideoChat and older products like the
Who-IM.
If something appears to have a pretty solid consensus of opinion...
then we will change it accordingly. But these two points have
people on both sides of the debate at the moment. We'll keep our
eye on the issue to see how it goes while we work out the beta
test.
It's easy!
Just ask your members to double click on their OWN avatar in
VideoChat (or Who-IM) and then they will be presented with a dialog
box that gives them the option to set their sound enabled as well
as to set themselves on "privacy mode" for private browsing. When
they are in private mode, a red dot appears on their avatar and
they cannot be bothered by any other member messages.
Thanks for the answers!
Really I was looking for an option to make the avatar not visible,
the red dot it's great to set the status to "busy" but anyone knows
that you are connected.
How can we do that?
