Evil -

In TabDoctor, when selecting visibility as visible for members only, can we further refine visibility based on a specific member level or type? Or, if a navigation top-tier link is ALREADY set through the layout manager to only be viewed by a specific member level or type, will this setting sustain with TabDoctor in use, or does TabDoctor override these member level/type settings?

Presently there is not an API hook to allow TabDoctor to use specific member visibility levels, so it acts on the four levels of visibility shown. This means that when you set up a page under a Tab that has access allowed only for "VIP" members (for example), a regular member or public visitor will go to the page, but will see a dialogue indicating that the content is not available to them. Not the ultimate solution, but it still accomplishes the goal.

We have submitted to SocialGO that further API hooks be created as would allow us to put parallel visibility control into the TabDoctor...which is the ultimate solution, of course, because then one can have matching tab and page content control. This functionality will, by the way, be part of LabCMS as well (so you can create custom content and navigation in one management library).

If you purchase TabDoctor after having purchased LabTabs, we will honor a full refund of your LabTabs purchase price. Simply email a copy of both PayPal receipts to us at help@widgetlaboratory.com and we will make sure that SocialGO processes the refund on your behalf.

I have LabTabs and paid for it using my credit card. I do not have a PayPal account. I closed it years ago because of some very bad experiences. How will that get reversed on my credit card. ALSO since I already have my LabTabs setup, am I going to be able to migrate the existing info into the TabDoctor without having to input it all in again? Will the MAIN TABS automatically drop down into a 2nd row as they do now with LabTabs? Thanks jim

If you want to upgrade, we can help you using Google Checkout (and your credit card) and you can simply pay the $10 price difference to upgrade to TabDoctor.

Looks like TabDoctor is now available from the site-owner/administrative area now. I'm going to purchase this shortly.
