There have been so many, I get confused...
I would be genuinely interested to know what this latest update from ning was, that has resulted in more interest in SG
I recommend SG to quite a few people at meetings I go to, and so any more information on why they should choose SG over ning would be handy

The latest update did several things, including making the default member profile on Ning show the latest activity at the top of a member's page... whereas most site members wanted their personal info in that spot. This helps Ning's agenda, but not the poor site owner who now has to instruct each of his/her members on how to manually go in and change the member profile to put things back the way they were.
Basically... making forced changes to established layouts without any logical thinking applied (such as leaving the original as the "default" and making the new layout be the "option").
