PHOTO BOOTH - COMING SOON TO YOUR SITE
LET THE FUN BEGIN!
Here is how it works:
If you have a webcam, click on "Snap Your Photo".
Be sure to select "Allow" when prompted whether you want to give access to your camera.
Then click on "Start" in order to take FOUR snaps (spaced three seconds apart). It's just like a real photo booth!
The LAB Photo Booth is completed and has the option of working on tokens (shared revenue with site owner) or Free. It will be available branded for your network as well.
Right now we just want you to have fun playing around with it until we are ready to launch it on the SocialGO platform as an available widget.
Enjoy!

PhotoBooth does not give users ability to save a copy to their PC... which causes them to have to come to your site to view the images or use a branded copy of the booth (your brand) wherever they embed the same. That's the idea... to drive them to your site for more traffic ;-)
We have other varieties of this concept that would work for individuals on their own pages, that they could purchase the option to save and print images for a micro-payment each month... etc. We are now testing the concept on different types of networks (business, schools, clubs, fan clubs, adult networks, etc.)
yes, the other was quite fun as well, and useful as you described. It hasn't gone away...
The idea is that we can offer the same concept wrapped-up into different packages depending on the intended user, network niche, and monetization model. For example, if a site owner wants to provide a way for all the members on the site to "interact" then having a central repository of all snaps makes more sense vs. a utility tool for a particular member to use and then take the snap with them to somewhere else. The cost of the storage and bandwidth is potentially offset by the additional traffic to the site in the first case (where they can be directed into doing something beneficial to the site owner's bottom-line) whereas in the second case the costs might have to be offset by a micro-payment for using the tool (say by using our token system that might charge the equivalent of 25 cents per stored snap or similar).
We're running test versions of this concept on a couple networks now to get some feedback and information regarding user-response and behavior. All very interesting.. and somewhat surprising.
